Freeze would be the best choice and that’s including Lane.

Verging on “ I will not be the next Alabama coach” level … I think Freeze with an open checkbook would be 10 times better than Lane

I agree on Freeze, but would AU even consider him with his past?

Why not? Do any other SEC coaches show high moral character?

I would hire him, but not sure AU would consider him.

That's what he told the team a few days ago.

Watch the post game presser.

Ive never been impressed by AU being concerned about integrity. Despite what people say about SEC banning Freeze from SEC i dont see what they could do if Cohen tells them to FO. It my feelings Thats exactly why Cohen was hired.

If I truly hated Auburn I'd suggest that Jimbo might be on the market soon but that would be cruel.

Jeff Grimes

Grimes is very rare anti-peter principle coach. He gets better with every promotion.

Wasn't a fan of him as OL coach, LSU or AU; he was average... and that's a problem at either school. As a RGC he did better. As a OC he did pretty damn good.

Knows the SEC, has recruited in AU's footprint and outside that footprint (which is tough for AU sharing those hunting grounds with schools which recruit better). He won't bring the "underdog recruiting" strategy that Harsin did.

Terrible wording by Kiffin. Want to piss off 80+ aggressive men in their early 20's or late teens? Say shite like that on the eve of a rivalry game. He may not go to AU, but he may have just lost his OM team.

AU is doing the same thing LSU did after it was announced Orgeron was fired. Woodward got the boosters together and went on a spree.

Have to do it now before the early signing period and while you can blame it on coaches who won't be on the sideline next year if caught.

Reed is from GA, not far from AU. They will be going after homegrown and GA kids for this "spree". Just like LSU did with the LA and ETX kids. There's an element of "sympathy frick" in it, and it doesn't work for kids not from the area.

I dont doubt it, crazy to commit to AU right now the way things are today. You don't even know who the coach will be, unless they know it will be caddy.

I'd honestly be shocked if anyone hired Muschamp as a head coach again. Especially at this level. He's failed twice at it. He's solid as a defensive coordinator.

Matt House would be a homerun hire for Auburn.

I don't always trust what coaches say. Riley said he was not going to be the LSU coach before taking the USC job.

Well, he wasn’t lying…

Saban said the same thing in 2006 about Bama. Saban was much more deliberate and convincing.
