Same here. I can't tell if they're just desperate for something to be excited about, especially after their last 2 searches, or if they really know something and want to be seen as "in the know".

Where has been the hard proof from Ole Miss of an actual interview? It's been reported everywhere about Kiffin's with Arkansas.

I haven't seen anything. But the article I did read said that Lane was scheduled to meet with Arkansas this Sunday. Fake News is real, especially in these coaching searches

Been through enough of these to hate them and love them all the same. Also know to follow the national media on these things, not local or "insiders"/boosters. I stop listening as soon as I hear "a booster says"....
Personally I'm just glad Morris was fired quickly. We can't really do much worse than him.

Wholeheartedly agree. No matter what the other fans say, even or respective fan bases... our programs aren't dumpster fires or looked at as shite jobs from the coaching community.
We're both going to be much better off and when we make the right hire (as proven with Petrino/Freeze), we can compete and go toe to toe.
It remains to be seen if Kiffin or the others rumored can do it but we have nothing to lose and at least we're ponying up with the big boys.

Agents leak news from their side through national guys.
Unless they are coughing up money to pay for the hire, boosters are kept in the dark. A lot of coaching search fake news is idiots looking for message board E-Cred.

Face to face interview took place yesterday.
Kiffin was Arkansas bound until the Ole Miss job opened up. Right now, the Ole Miss job is just the more attractive job. Money isn't an issue with Ole Miss, so they can match or beat any offer from Arkansas. Ole Miss isn't as big of a rebuild project and the Ole Miss admin wanted to make a hire that excited people. And they've done just that.
