Sorry if Germans.

Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

USC is a douche-school. Petersen is a good man and wouldn't be a good fit there.

Better fit for him. Likes the Pac. NW. Doesn't want a high profile gig. Honestly, I'd prolly go to Washington over USC also. Seattle is awesome

Seattle is much closer to Boise than Los Angeles is.

Lower cost of living

Better medical care

Air isn't complete shite

There's MANY reasons why you would choose Seattle over Hollywierd.

Dude runs closed practices and does the bare min media stuff. USC is the highest profile HC position as far as media. He also has a child with medical needs and there is supposed to be a great hosipital there with what they need. That alone is one of his greatest concerns.

Bingo.

Anyone who's actually spent any time in Seattle and specifically the U-Dub campus knows why.

Seattle and UW way better the LA and USC.

Peterson has always struck me as a low-key guy. Seattle is perfect for that. LA, not so much.

Expectations.

Petersen wins 8 games at UW he's safe. If he wins 9 they'll love him. Wins 10 they'll throw a parade.

Pretty much.

And if he beats Oregon 2 out of 3 years, he might be statue worthy (assuming the Ducks stay relevant after their takedown in Tucson).

Probably didn't want to deal with the super-douche AD they have there at USC.

USC is no longer the job it once was. The location of the school sucks, the fans are a bunch of idiots who expect to be as good as they were under Carroll and it's not going to be fun having to recruit against Jim Mora Jr. Sark had his work cut out for him that's for sure.

Ummm, L.A. or Northwest for a guy that does not want to be in the media a ton and apparently likes shitty weather. I would prefer Washington over USC when looking at family places to live.

Peterson is a bird of different feather. Not a guy that's fueled by the things that fuel other big name coaches

He has a child with special needs. They have found good doctors in that area of the country and wanted to stay close to them. So the Washington job was better due to the proximity to his doctors.

Plus I dont think he wanted to have his family living in L.A.

You do realize football existed at Usc before Pete Carroll, right?

His child with special needs is not something that is a factor anymore. He recovered and has already left for college. He just always wanted the Washington job and everything lined up right for him to take it.

Agreed on the douche school part, and he prolly knows that sanctions will likely follow Kiffin and Orgeron
