Graham is unemployed after ASU's bowl game. Since many Arkansans seem to be high on Norvell, why not the coach who was Norvell's coaching mentor for many seasons?

If he cant win enough to stay at AZ state in the PAc12 you truly think he will win enough to stay at Arkansas?

That would be a terrific hire for them

But you're willing to take a chance on a two year head coach in a conference that is definitely lower in prestige than the PAC12?

Sure let’s hire a proven loser. A perfect hire. Uh huh.

Well there's the dumbass post of the day so far. Graham was 46-31 while at ASU, Rice 6-6, Tulsa 36-17, Pitt 6-6.

Now how exactly does that infer he is a loser?

Baw, its tougher to win games at Arkansas than it is at Arizona State. He couldn't win enough games to stay employed there.

So you're saying Arkansas should not hire a head coach that just got fired for losing somewhere else? That narrows down your list considerably then.

Graham didn't get a fair shake. I think he's a good coach. Probably a notch below of what Arkansas should shoot for, though.

I hate to break it to you, but with the plethora of top tier jobs available, Arkansas fans won't be happy with the hire. Tough year to fire Bielema.

How are those "top-tier" jobs looking so far?

How many was he supposed to win at Az State? While I realize that it's not enough for their satisfaction, they are in a state with few football players. Are they supposed to out recruit USC, Stanford, UCLA, Washington and Oregon for California players? Or even Cal? The only other state anywhere near there with football players is Texas...and they'd be 8 or lower on the pecking order
The same question for Arkansas. How many games should they win with a)limited talent in their state; b)recruiting in Texas behind at least Texas, Oklahoma, A&M, TCU. You could realistically add LSU . Ark is close to several states with football players, so if they consistently hit on 2nd tier recruits they could do something.
Graham may be a little burned out at this point...and much of his success may be to the great coordinators he's hired over the years. Get one of them.

I'm not, I see it as Butch Jones 2.0 take over someone who had established a program and win enough then job hop.

If it gets that bad, I'd rather offer Blake Anderson.

No.

Why not just promote our DL coach?

I feel like there’s a pretty hard ceiling on what Graham could accomplish at Arkansas and it’s similar to what Bielema did. Not sure why some are saying this would be a terrific hire

I'm saying why do you care who the University of Arkansas hires as the head football coach?

Thank you for your input!

I mean, pretty good. Scott Frost to Nebraska would be a great hire. Mullen to UF is a great hire. Ucla got a real good one. Sumlin was just fired, and that's a more attractive job than Arkansas. Just look at Tennessee for crying out loud. Second winningest team in SEC history and were told no by everyone they went after, and they eventually had to roll with Schiano for a few hours. Same with LSU last year.

Y'all will likely end up hiring a proven coordinator or something. JMO

Well Arkansas and LSU are in the same division. And you're on the coaching changes board on an LSU website.

Because I live here and pay taxes to support the school whether I'm a fan or not. Being a subpar team almost year in and year out is not a good return on my "investment". I guess I just don't accept mediocrity as a winning argument for wanting the state's team to be better than mediocre.
