I think one of the biggest problems with Silverfield is he never coached at this level. You can say yeah he coached in the NFL, but that was an assistant to the assistant OL coach.

I think he didn’t get the right personnel thinking wow they look better than my players at Memphis.

He hired the wrong OC, if that isn’t fixed by letting Cramsey go, there is no hope.

I also believe he has to waste a shite ton of time and effort into fund raising, which is Hunters job.

If he figures those things out, I believe he could be successful.

Will Stein had been at Oregon, went against Ohio State every year and the CFP. He knew what players should look like, he was the top OC. His AD paid him less but gave more resources, we will see if he can do both after that inevitable raise he gets and Mark Popes buyout.

I said since he resigned Sam that Hunter was more worried about the directors cup than he is with winning in football. That looks great on a resume when the playoffs or championships aren’t even remotely guaranteed based on how much you pay. Everything he has done has been based on enriching himself or making himself look better. Didn’t resign Kendall because he wanted more money, turned around signed a larger more money contract for himself. This all comes to getting rid of Hunter. Also need to get rid of anyone on the BOT that allowed this to happen.

If I got my wish, it would have been firing Hunter when he caved to Aw shucks I ain’t going no where.

Realistically if we keep Ryan, I’d go after Chip Kelly to run the offense, that’s all he wants to do now. He doesn’t want to recruit, the handshakes or anything. Give him money and a competent roster and be top 25-30 in offense.

If we get rid of Ryan, I’d go after Bob Chesney and back him with money. Because without the money we will just ruin another guys career.

Should have been a Bob Chesney or Will Stein hire. I don’t see us getting a new coach this year. I do see us getting rid of Hunter, and the new AD will have the ability to evaluate for a year and bring in all the people he wants. From Coach to GM to Scouts..

Too bad we couldn’t go after a mercenary like Chip Kelly to run the offense next year.
