This is pretty much it. The track coach had sex with one of the members of the team she coached, which the university felt was worse than banging a non-player student assistant.
Major is a very bright football mind but not a very good person.

The track coach also provided many impermissible benefits to the player she was involved with (and others as well). Part of the firing was due to those actions, not the relationship.

Interesting question. IIRC, this came to light because the trainer, in applying for another campus job, was asked on the application if she ever had a relationship with a UT employee (and it might have simply been asking about an above-board or even family relationship...not sure). She answered yes and proceeded to spill the beans (so to speak). I guess Major, when confronted with what clearly seemed to be accurate information, confirmed that the event happened.

It won't settle. The only claim Kearney has that hasn't been dismissed already is at the Texas Supreme Court and likely to be dismissed in UT's favor. She's likely walking away with nothing.
