Why in the world would Texas not go after Matt Campbell?

Who knows, maybe be turned them down. But if not, this makes no sense to me. The dude has consistently won at Iowa freaking State.

He might be like the Gonzaga coach and just wants to stay in a smaller market.

Texas has likely vetted several candidates, including Campbell. He's probably not interested in the job.

It’s going to be a tough sale to young up-and-comers. Got fired on a shorten season and one season four after having a winning record each year and. 4-0 bowl record.

Yeah? Sark did worse at a much better job (Washington) than Matt Campbell has at ISU.

He doesn't want to stay in Ames.

He should of been 1st call after Meyer turned it down.

His lunchpail style works well at ISU but kinda holds him back from bigger coaching opportunities.

I think he's a really good coach....but most fans would consider him a boring hire for their school.

What he's done at ISU is amazing though.

It's not an upgrade over Iowa state for the big picture

If he wants fair expectations , the ability to lose a game without his house getting egged, admin that supports him and cohesion with and a place he can get his players and have them do things old fashion way he has a great job.

His current recruiting class is ranked like 55 behind Kansas, Rutgers, and SMU. Of course he would recruit better at Texas but it would have to be like a whole better. His “doing it the right way” attitude doesn’t work well with the big boy programs

Last time Sark had a high profile job, USC, he drank his way out it. Kind of a risky hire for someone has desperate as Texas to be relevant.

It was sarcasm given Sark’s prior stops and issues with the bottle.

He said just recently that he’ll never coach at Texas under any circumstances.

Matt Campbell in the postgame locker room, “Guys, you just won the fricking Fiesta Bowl and beat the frick out of Oregon.”

Good thing that three years ago Tennessee decided that his buyout was too much for them pay.

The Texas Board of Regents could probably find their asses with two hands if you gave them instructions.

Texas is paying for "The Process"

Like what Kirby has done for UGA, Dabo hiring Bama staff for Clemson.
