I wish LSU was in the market now because I think he’d choose LSU over a&m even if it meant less money.

It’s much easier for him to bolt after such an atrocious season.

You have become my favorite poster on here. I often agree with everything you say. Thanks for being a reasonable Alabama fan. It’s not a slight at LSU at all, it’s simply better timing. He’s been flirting for years and after this season he can really make that move. It’s hard to leave an elite program but the wheels came off this season..

Don’t ya just love how these A&M morons keep acting like they are experts in how to get the best coach, win championships, etc, but have zero proof to back it up?
#BigWalletLittleDick as usual.

Thank you sir! I have been lurking Tigerdroppings since early 2007 but didn't get the scrotum to make an account until 2012. LSU fans are without a doubt my favorite fan base in our conference. Nothing to do with wins are losses either. I loved y'all even back when Rohan Davey threw for like 860 yards in 2001 in Tuscaloosa. Again, thank you man. I love this website.

A dedication to winning.

Look at the individuals running the show at LSU - King Alexander and Joe Alleva. The president of our university has openly admitted that he wishes he could place a cap on coach's salaries. He has discussed the "climate of austerity" at LSU and his hesitation to spend wild amounts of money on the football program. Couple that with Joe Alleva, an incredibly insecure and incompetent man that may very well be the worst AD in the country, and you have a leadership duo that is incredibly foreboding for LSU athletics.

King is more concerned with spending and perception.

Alleva is more concerned with being the bigger man and protecting his own ego.

Neither will ever do what is necessary to make LSU elite.

Neither has the power to do that. LSU itself has that power. Doesn’t always use it wisely.

It’s just timing. Had A&M gone after Jimbo one of the past two seasons, he would’ve considered making the move more seriously. All that was happening during his flirtation with LSU was his agent, Sexton, was trying to negotiate for more money. And it worked.

I’m soooo thankful he didn’t come to Baton Rouge. Could you imagine if Alleva had made a deal to pay a guaranteed $75 million to a coach who just went 6-6 in the ACC? (assuming they beat ULM on Saturday)

A&M is making a huge mistake. They fired a guy who ran a clean program and never finished with fewer than 7 wins in the toughest division of the toughest conference with a guy who’s always angling for more money even though he can’t finish at the top of a much lesser conference, who doesn’t exactly run an exemplary program.
