I didn't bring up anything it has been mentioned the entire thread! I was just pointing out the fact that some people want to pick a race fight so bad they cannibalize their own kind.

I would be concerned if Strong was married to a white man, but I can't really argue with him marrying a white woman since I did the same thing.

Hidden agenda?

I'm a huge Strong fan and believer. His coaching staff is one of the best in America. It would be a smooth transition because he would retain a few of your current coaches, and Mettenberger could play well in the Spread Option style offense that Sanford coaches.

None. There's no Rooney rule in CFB and Muschamp was the leader to get the job last December when Meyer originally stepped down. I don't see your problem or what you're getting at. I just gave my opinion on why Strong would be a home run hire for LSU. Nothing more, nothing less.

gatormb89, I'll give you my opinion, Charlie Strong is not qualified to be the head coach at LSU.

... and Chizik wasn't qualified to be the HC at AU. What did Les Miles do before he got to LSU? What about Patterson before TCU and Petersen at BSU? Some said the same thing about Bob Stoops when he went to OU.

Strong is plenty qualified and has been around the SEC for years. He recruits lights out and surrounded himself with an exceptional coaching staff.

Why isn't he qualified enough to coach at LSU in your opinion? Just curious.

Strong is qualified and would continue winning at LSU.

It means Muschamp was the front runner when Meyer originally decided to step down.

Strong would be a homerun. I just never saw him as a realistic possibility.

Why not? He is at Louisville which will always play second fiddle to basketball. Here football is king. Strong would be a great hire.
