USF has been a disaster in recent years, so let him work his recruiting skills there and see if he can build a winner at the FBS level.
I think he could recruit well for USF and turn them around fairly quick. I'm not saying going 12-0 in year one but if he could get a couple of decent coordinators he could make some noise.

He'd be a huge success wherever he went as long as he realized his actual role as a CEO who was about hyping/driving the program and letting the coordinators run the day to day. His downfall would be the Gus/Richt ego that they needed to have their thumb on gameday plays.
Huge Risk, Huge Reward/Peril...
I think Deion running that experiment is best suited for FSU in a year or two.

Let’s take Auburn for example, where Sanders’ name has been linked. Mighty big risk hiring a coach who’s only experience is at an HBCU and expect him to be immediate success against Saban, Kelly, Kiffin, Leach, Kirby, Heupel, etc.
That is an enormous leap.
His next step needs to be a Memphis, Central Florida, Cincinnati if Fickel moves on, Louisville perhaps. Show you can win there and keep the boosters happy, run a clean program, bring some positive publicity to the program. Now you have a resume.

Sanders apparently is not likely the choice at the barn.

HBC are never scrutinized for recruiting issues and this is something he has no experience in so I see him being passed over by anything outside a HBC

Deion will be a huge failure at a big school

He may be, but he is an intriguing potential candidate.

If he doesn't turn a program around right away at a top program, then probably will happen. The point is he is almost like Ed Orgeron. He needs to be an OC or DC to build up his ability to coach. Not just be the HC and let the others do their jobs. I may be wrong someone might be willing to stick with him as DC and OC for 5 years or so.

Deion Sanders’ success, or lack thereof, will depend entirely on who he relies on as offensive/defensive coordinators.
He will need to run the program as a CEO, as NGT stated.
The recruits will come. He just has to hit on his coordinators, and he will find instant success like at Jackson State.

What I am waiting to see is the Arkansas HC and see if things will start to crumble or not. Pittman is a little bit better than Ed Orgeron but still just can't continue to stay the same if the defense starts to give way and same for offense or they leave for HC gig.
But the DC and OC must be willing to stick around for 5 or so years. That is the problem. It might work. Look what happened to Ed Orgeron at LSU.
