I think you are correct. He will be there until retirement. Even though he has lied in the past about jobs, I don't think he would be globe trotting talking to recruits and lying to them. He is not going anywhere and I think all of these "sources" likely have no clue WTF they are talking about or are just making stuff up to see the reaction.

I don't know how big a role Pruitt has played in Florida State's defensive success this season, but you think Alabama would lure Pruitt away from Florida State after one season where his defense lead the team to a national championship?
