How did this happen?

I still remember when he said it would take five years to install his defense.

Drop Linebacker.

The Bills realized LSU didn’t give him enough time to implement his system. The drop linebacker takes tears to cultivate. Lou was more like an artist than a coach

at first I thought this was a typo - but now I’m not sure.

Lou Tepper was one of the most respected defensive minds in the game in his time. His Illinois teams were BEASTS on defense.

Pretty sure if you spend any amount of time coaching, you're in the club and can have a job for life in some capacity. You don't even have to be good at it, like old Lou.

Norv Turner is another one that just kept getting jobs.

I think it was the Buffalo Bulls, as in the University of Buffalo.

You know who else used a drop linebacker at LSU? Dave Aranda.

A couple of rumors back then were that the players really loved Tepper, Dinardo was ultra paranoid & was micromanaging the defense as a result.

Four years to fully implement. Back then it was rare that freshmen played and most guys stayed 4-5 years at the same school. It was kinda silly to think it would take years back then, but it wasn't as ridiculous as it sounds today.

Also, Tepper's second year wasn't a terrible defense. His first year was pure shite though.

OP likes to spend his time on the Poli Board. Not surprised that he believes the first thing he sees that fits his agenda without doing any actual research.

You gotta be a special type of stupid to think Lou Tepper was the Bills def coordinator in 2012, and even dumber to post it on a message board

You mean the Buffalo Bulls?

They are not some juggernaut. He did okay there. He coached Khalil Mack.
