With all these names being floated nobody is really talking about Ryan Day as a candidate. He recruits lights out... he is dominating the Big 10... he is not from Ohio, so that argument is null. Offense minded.. And in my opinion he is right there with Saban and Kirby in every aspect except for winning a NC...
And it would be a chess move no doubt. Ohio State probably wouldn't fight to keep him b/c they know they can grab Fickel so getting into a bidding war wouldn't happen...
Maybe this is the REAL candidate with all the other rumors just smoking us out(me included).

What’s his background and where’s he from? Really never even considered him because it seems so unrealistic

I’ll give you this, it’s the first time I’ve seen his name pop up, and there is a reason.
He’s got it made at OSU. I don’t see how he doesn’t retire there unless he just absolutely shits the bed for a couple years.

Well Riley has it made at OU..and he has done just as much in a tougher conference. heck, many coaches have it made in terms of their current situation.
But this board claims we are a top job and we deserve a top coach... well he is better than 99% the other scrubs being tossed around.
So I guess what y'all are saying is we are a top 6 to 10 program and we need to stay in our lane

Unless tOSU also comes to the SEC there doesn't seem like an advantage for him doing that.
He's got a great school with no Alabama, Georgia, or LSU to beat to get into the playoff. Why would he change that?

Riley is more plausible bc he could benefit by coming to LSU with OU entering the conference. If he stays at OU, his job only gets harder. Ohio St is not coming to the SEC so Day just has to keep beating who he's already beating.
