Some have posted Cortez Hankton from Georgia as a likely candidate.

You have to think the Hankton rumors have smoke considering every coach is available right now except him and Bamas.

Feels very similar to the way Denbrock was rumored for so long

We're bringing in Joe Brady to coach WRs. The summer of 10,000 catches is upon us again!

It’s very likely Hankton or else it would have been announced already

Hankton is the favorite I would say.

There is a huge sleeper though. He is a popular guy.

All you will get is some cryptic answer and a bit about how he won't say the name outright because people on this board are mean to him if he's wrong.

We get Cortez and this is an all star coaching staff from top to bottom.

One thing I know is we won’t be out coached. We probably will lose a few games because we are rebuilding the roster from scratch, but we won’t be out coached.

You keep saying that and I keep responding that this board takes stuff out of context.

Hankton has been poached: but is focused on the big game (which he should be) so nothing is official.

The answer to your question is Joe brady. He is the dark horse candidate.
If he doesn’t like the NFL openings available to him he would jump back to college.

Wait so if Hankton falls through, Kelly is going to hire a guy who he isn't familiar with, has no interest in recruiting, and was part of the old guard at LSU if Hankton falls through??

Sorry not buying that for a second. Wouldn't be mad about the hire from a coaching standpoint but it makes zero sense from a recruiting standpoint.

I’m not necessarily saying he’s the fallback option. I’m just saying he is a dark horse candidate.

Hankton is likely the guy, but there is no offer on the table that I have heard, and nothing agreed on. That could change as we get closer to the end of UGAs season.

So he isn't actually a fallback option but he is a dark horse candidate? So that's just something you have decided in your mind? If you have sources is that just their wishful thinking then?

Not sure how the guy is simultaneously not a fallback option but also a dark horse candidate. That would indicate that there are other(s) in between Hankton and Brady that are much more likely.

No. A dark horse candidate to me is something with many variables in it. As you know Brady is an NFL guy, he’s going to look at his options there first.

He would come back to college in the right scenario though. There hasn’t been talks with him and LSU, but it is an option LSU is aware of since this is coming from the LSU side. That’s why I say “sleeper” or a “dark horse”.

Sorry for the confusion.

With all this being said Hankton is the likely guy. I assume there will be more smoke leading up to the NC game.
