Good question. I don't think I've seen anyone ask this yet over the last couple of weeks.

Will probably be determined by the caliber of other coaches interested in the job. A half season win loss record is too small of a sample size to judge a coach.

If Coach O beats Bama and Ole Miss but still loses to Florida and Arkansas he may not get the job.

One or two wins aren't going to get him the job. A good resume the rest of the season and how the team looks on tape will. That means LSU will need to win the games they're favored to win and not shite the bed in games like Florida, A&M etc.

Although if he wins the SEC West he'll probably win the job.

This is getting ridiculous. But this question will be asked every single week unfortunately. Just let the damn season play out and we'll see. He's coached one game

If we lose to Florida and/or Arkansas, he's not getting the job.

What win loss record will it take for Coach O to become permanent.

10 & 2 regular season, SEC champs minimum. NC guarantees him the job.

If I could upvote this 100 times I would. Screw taking about a coach let's just play ball now and figure it out after the season.
