Herman and Fleck are media created flavors of the month.

2 coaches you want to stay away from.

i'll take that bet

what PJ Fleck has done at WMU is historic

this isn't a one year flash in the pan thing. this year is the culmination of years or program building

WMU had never won a bowl game before Fleck

Now this is how you fail at making a thread.

You know I remember this hot coach going undefeated at this school that was a doormat program for years. A big school out in the ACC thought he was the next big thing and after 10 years his best record was 9-3. He never won his conference and his bowl record was 3-5.

This thread will be fun to remember when we're watching Texas and Oregon play in the playoff while we're going to our third straight Liberty Bowl and trying to figure out how we picked O over Herman and Fleck.

After the 2007 season, Ohio State was deemed worthy to play LSU in the national championship game based on w/l record, strength of schedule, etc.

Their schedule from that year contained 4 teams that W. Michigan beat this year. If it is good enough for the vaunted Buckeyes, how can we question it?

Lmao. What was it the O pumpers told me when many of us said O didn't beat anyone worth a damn?? Oh yea, all he can do is win the games on the schedule. Big difference is O didn't. Fleck did.

He is the first coach ever to win 10 games at Western Michigan.

If the program you inherit is as shitty as WMU, you don't even get to schedule potential signature wins

The dude went 13-0 at Western fricking Michigan. 13-0!! The whole season is a signature win. They had zero letdown games. Beat everyone on the schedule with equal, better or slightly less talent.

U asked and he just gave your the answer. Boom

All of his wins were signature wins. Western Michigan has only been to 7 bowls in its existence and they're undefeated. The program also had one win in his first year...and now they're undefeated.

You don't seem to realize how up and coming coaches get to be up and coming. How many signature wins did Saban have at Toledo? Or Meyer at bowling green?

Come talk to me after PJ coaches at a school in a conference that isn't one notch up from my old fraternity League flag football

You do know that there are coaches in CFB that are not currently great but will be great one day? The teams that have the vision and courage to take chances on those coaches will be better off for it.

Meanwhile a big program like LSU thinks they can just pluck a NC winning coach from a program because they're LSU. It's retarded. LSU should go get their own next rising star, not decide on some career loser.
