And he'd probably bring Malachi Nelson to LSU.

Yeah Lincoln Riley just lucked into 3 Heisman finalist (2 winners) 2 guys who went #1 in each of their drafts, the other guy was a 2nd rounder and starting in NFL.

Spencer Rattler had the most returning passing TDs in the country. Caleb Williams looks awful huh?

He's got some serious talent at OU right now and they're landing monsters all around the country there. I just saw where he landed a top 10 5* Dlineman from florida.

He's gonna have to leave an incredible situation there and I don't see Oklahoma letting us out bid for him. I think they would at minimum match us. I would love for it to be Lincoln and called it very early on but they looked sketchy and everyone was panicking about their early season struggles (they're undefeated) but the more I analyze it-

I don't see us landing him. That would be the "holy shite, I can't believe it" hire.

My daughter (no pics) goes to OU. As her dad, for her, I hope he stays. For me, this is how I feel. There's Riley for offense and then there's a clown like Kiffen, also very good at offense. I would want Riley. Would be the absolute best hire.

Riley isn’t leaving OU. When’s the last time a coach left a top tier Power 5 school to take a job at another? Jimbo Fisher did, but I can’t think of another.

Well that's all you fricking need, coaches make what you would consider a "lateral move" all the time

The real question is would he leave OU or is he using us for a pay raise? I would think OU could match anything we throw at them.

OK a) Myles will be the starter. b) Riley will go after Arch Manning. c) so at least 2 of those wont stay at LSU

I thought that was his “strong suit” when he started playing.
??

Max looks like a runner next to Myles Brennan, but he isn’t very swift or nimble. Haven’t you noticed?

I understand everything is about projections, but I have yet to see anything that leads me to believe Arch is better than Howard. I also understand they are in different classes and Arch will have another year in high school to develop. So we shall see.

Arch certainly has the size and smarts that you want in a quarterback. I am just really partial to Howard.

Perhaps this will be a funny comment to look back on as Arch is winning a heisman.

Who cares when you can pluck a transfer and develop them into a top draft pick on a consistent basis?

Who's to say those QB's wouldn't have succeeded w/o Riley, anyway? I mean, did O develop Burrow? No. Burrow had natural talent.

Better question is imagine what Sean Payton could do with Nuss, Howard, and Max. Both Payton and Riley are equally likely to be LSU's next HC.

you don’t think he was responsible for developing Mayfield and Murray? It’s not like these guys transferred in as multiple years starters for another school.

If O could’ve found 2-3 Burrow type transfers in a row we wouldn’t be talking right now

The dude gets production out of the QB position one way or another every season. Simple as that.

Then bring him too.

Williams wanted to come to LSU with Brady at one point.
