How would everyone feel?
Which gets to the point, while everyone likes to THINK it's all about the head coach, it's not. It's the coordinators that matter.

You’re insinuating him for DL coach and not head coach.
Just clarifying for the board.

I would howl. Jimbo won a natty and then sank FSU like a German U-boat and Aggie decided to bring him in. Now after Jimbo hasn't worked out they're gonna do the exact same thing again with O? Would be peak comedy
But this is all just fantasy. O lost his fire after reaching the mountaintop and has expressed he doesn't miss having to work all those hours coaching anymore and is content with the retired life with his buyout money. He has 2019 to his legacy and I think he can live with himself no matter what us guys on the internet say about him. Doubt he'll ever coach again. The most you'll probably ever see from him is random media appearances and maybe a motivational speech here or there but never actual coaching.

Good coordinators can make a mediocre to bad head coach look good but a good head coach can win with any two random coordinators. Saban managed to go 24-4 with the combination of Bill O'Brien and Pete Golding. 3 of the 4 losses were by 3 points or less on the road to teams that finished the season ranked 25th, 15th, and 6th at the end of those seasons.
The other loss was in a national championship game.
