Sad. Because of the Saban connection and his name, he became a HC...too soon. Never really did anything, other than position coach. It takes time to learn to be the HC, and jumping to Tenn was way over his head.

Might be time to reconsider Fulmer.
I think Dooley gets another year, goes 8-4 and winds up with another year.

The only reason I'm not jumping on the Bash Dooley train is that I think that the Tennessee program has been shite for the last few years thanks to Fulmer's recruiting dropping off and the various problems during the year under Kiffin.
Dooley's under-performing, but I'm not willing to say he's completely incompetent until he gets a 3rd season in with his recruits.

UT was a total mess when he took the tob.
UT had what 5 of its best players out for long stretches this season.
He'll be fine if he makes progress and can get about 8 wins next year. Otherwise....
You can't lose for too long in the SEC.

He never really did much at La Tech either. He wouldn't have been hired if it wasn't for Hamilton hoping for a miracle.
Fixed it for you. He was only hired because Hamilton knew hiring an interim coach would result in him getting fired.

I watched some of the Tenn vs Ky game, and Tenn looked like total shite. It doesn't even look like they've got the athletes to even be a middle tier SEC team.
