Curious what the overlap is between fans who wanted Miles to stay in November '15, and people who want to promote Coach 0. Probably like a correlation of 0.9, right?

No.

Huge Positiger here, supporter of Miles, was ready for change but think O should only be a last resort if lots of other coaches turn us down.

What's funny is the O fans think the anti-O's just want Miles again or something. I've heard someone say that around here.

I don't think an opinion on Miles drives a particular stance on O honestly.

Lack of ability to think beyond emotional rhetoric.

It would make sense as both fans are driven by emotion instead of making the correct decision based on logic.

Can't make a generalization.

I was a fan of Miles but knew it was time for a change last year and said as much. I don't want O as HC.

A lot of us pumpers are kind of wired that way. If a guy is the head football coach at LSU, I tend to be all in and get a little better perspective with time. Hallman was probably the only guy I was for firing while he was still actively coaching. I was all in on Miles but conceded that a change may be positive (I did and do have reservations about the process and what we'll get from the yahoo involved in the hiring).

I am cautiously optimistic on O, trying to hold back the all in. The Ole Miss part of his resume is concerning but his interim records have been very good. If he's learned his lesson from the Ole Miss debacle, there is hope but I don't think his interim record necessarily means that, since the two situation (interim vs actual HC) are different enough that a person might excel at one and not the other.

My hope is the powers that be will make the best hire for LSU, whoever that is. And, unfortunately, no one will really know until a couple of years down the line.

I don't think that is entirely true but there is a lot to be said for that. I am typically a very logical thinker and decision maker but LSU football does something to my logical brain.

It's really the only place I get out of sorts in that way.
