I haven't paid much attention to him thus far, because I didn't think it was necessary. But I'm sure others here have analyzed his history. What is the gist? Strengths, weaknesses? Just interested in opinions.

(And I have no inside information. Just curious.)

Good coach but I would melt hard if it’s Campbell. I would prefer the upside of Napier and I am not high on Napier

That is an extremely interesting analysis. Thanks. Glad you have reverted back to your rationalist mode.

9. Matt Campbell, Iowa State
Lowdown: Campbell made the biggest jump of any Power 5 coach, and with good reason. The Cyclones are preparing for arguably the most-anticipated season in program history. Campbell has established a winning culture, and the program should build on last year's Big 12 championship appearance. Campbell will continue to be a candidate for elite Power 5 jobs, and that's a testament to the winning culture he's built in Ames.

As good as any on field coach and talent developer.

Might be a great recruiter but we don’t know. Also don’t know if he’s willing to get down and dirty in sec recruiting.

I think he’s destined for the nfl

Tucker trolling was fun. Debating jumping in on the Stoops melt trolling while the iron is hot.

I have had Campbell in my top 5ish for awhile now. I go back and forth with him and Napier as the 5th slot.

Because I think he’s more of a natural football coach than college recruiter, culture guy.
