Is he a Rutgers Man forever?I have not seen his name mentioned anywhere.

He blew his window of opportunity.

Yep. He's even losing the Rutgers fanbase now. A Newark paper called him out earlier this year.

He lost to Tulane. That is all that needs to be said.

He's holding out for the Penn St. job. A few years back when Rutgers had that 11-2 season, that might have meant something. Should the Penn St. job become available tomorrow, I doubt he would be in consideration.

Miami was all over him I think before they hired Shannon....not saying he would have done anything at Da U but he should have struck when the Iron was hot

he is a decent coach.
They're kind of rebuilding.
They lost Mike Teel which really really hurt.
they lost Ray Rice.
they lost Kenny Britt.
they lost Tiquan Underwood.
and many many more. They just haven't recovered.

Word around the Rutgers camp is he's a total control freak, even beyond your normal every day D1 coach, keeping his hand in every little aspect. They mentioned a story during a game how the day after a season he was calling the travel security manager wanting travel plans for the next season. He definitely needs to overhaul the staff up there or don't expect things to get any better next season

Sounds familiar.
To get any wins from that program is a big feat. Rutgers was young at QB. He could do well at a big-time program with lots of resources.

He might not live that long.

He got eveyone's expectations sky high and fallen into mediocrity. Good guys left and lots of youung guys plus injuries this year. They srill play a wussy OOC schedule and people are getting disappointed. The school has to cut back on professors and he makes a ton . This is a front running area. He needs to keep all local guys at home.

He was on Finebaum before the season started and he said he turned down the gigs he has because he feels like Rutgers can win championships...I think he should have bolted...he may have blown his chance at a big time school...

yeah, that was from me. dude is nuts. i know multiple people who work in the athletic department at rutgers and everybody there hates him.
my biggest problem with him is he is a terrible game coach and such a control freak that i beleive it hampers his assistants. his staff is like a revolving door and unfortunetly its not for the better.

He seems like a the world revolves around him guy
