You are correct. Johnny, tell them what they’ve won. An autographed photo of coach O with his shirt off. Or would you like to spin the wheel for a diffent Offensive Coordinator?

If they didn’t hire TE coach, I’m sure Kelly would handle that. Honestly would rather a full time special teams coach going that route

Why would a team dismantle the #1 offense in college football.
Don't tell me that Sloan doesn't know everything that Denbrock knows after that season, and he is the only QB coach and offense that Nuss has known.
Why would we make him start over learning a new offense?

It has to be because CBK is working on making the best possible OC hire and that candidate is waiting for other moves to finalize.

LSU can’t afford for CBK to miss on this hire. We are set up for a nice two year run.

We won’t be set up nice if he is having to replace two good recruiters and coaches plus losing the number 1 QB for next year. It’s really not a hard choice. Promote from within and be done with it.

Could they be waiting on whether or not Hankton takes another job?

This is what I was pondering as well. I think Hankton is a flight risk due to his rising stock. I felt like LSU was waiting on finalizing the offensive side when things were firmer than they are now. That is JMHO, just reading the tea leaves.

How have rumors been wrong? Baker, Davis, and Raymond were all rumored about. I’ll admit Baker was reported by outlets, but so many people wanted to yell it was a masterful smokescreen.

Just because LSU hires an OC doesn’t mean that Sloan is guaranteed to leave. LSU is still a great QB coaching job with Nuss and Underwood. There is a scenario where CBK hires an OC and Sloan remains at QB.
