to narrow it down further, i think it'll be one these 3.
it's like a season long playoff to see who gets to be LSU head coach.
fickell is in the lead so far.

I don't see Scotty hiring some dark horse candidate, think it's definitely going to be one of the guys you listed, I'm on the Lane Train, for now, also wouldn't mind Aranda with a home run OC hire.

I don't see SW hiring a ULL coach so I think Napier is out.
James Franklin is 0-7 against top 10 teams at Penn St per Chris Fallica and let's don't forget he started 0-5 last season which to me is inexcusable.
I really like Freeze but I don't think LSU will hire him due to the publicity going on right now with Title IX.
O'Brien would jump back to the NFL if he was successful here.
I don't think Cristobal would leave an easier conference to play in the SEC West.
IMO that leaves Kiffin, Aranda and Fickell. I would be happy with any of those guys.

BOB is the fanbase melt and riot candidate, so I expect they will float his name early and often to set fan expectations low, that way the fanbase will be pleased/relieved whoever they hire that isn’t named BOB
