Guy has ties to this region. Offensive minded coach..... He has done an amazing job and UNC. Aren't they about to get into some serious trouble with NCAA from the grade fixing scandal???

I said it once & I'll say it again: a guy named after a hat cannot replace a guy nicknamed "The Hat".

I have been saying all along that if we can't get jimbo, fedora is my #2. Offensive mastermind who had success at southern miss. Took over a unc program that was crushed by sanctions and has them rolling along a few years later. He has experience recruiting in the sec from his time at Florida.

I think he is a much better option than Mullins, Fuente, Herman and all the other names being thrown around here

what people are not realizing about fedora is he left southern miss in shambles. He has don't nothing a unc until this year. And, he lost the worst south carolina team in years. he went to o.t. with the worst v. tech team in years. His success has more to do with the downfall of the weakest conference in the land. He didn't play clemson or f.s.u. in that weak arse conference. so forgive me, i say not no but hell no.

How about Al Pacino? Or denzel Washington?

They were good in those movies as coaches

You have no idea what you're talking about. Left Southern Miss in shambles? Yeah, Southern Miss was ranked 14 at the end of his tenure and then pappy buttermilk aka Ellllllllllllos Johnson came in and destroyed what he had built. Whatever

just looking at results on the field, fedora looks like a slam dunk. complaining that he went to ot against teams that have been significantly better historically is ridiculous. he's winning at unc. yeah, they lost to scar, in the opener. if they played now, unc would win easily. the question is would he fit in at lsu.

on paper, it looks like fedora is the best out of all the coaches at non traditionally elite programs.

ellis coached ONE YEAR at southern, you think the program was left with alot of talent. are you that ignorant? why you think he left when he did? it's not like monken had a lot to work with either. at least he's rebuilding it. Fedora took the talent that was there maintained what they were doing for two years and left. where's his recruiting?

Ellis ran them off or they transferred. You can't go from being ranked 14 at the end of one year and then not winning a single game the next.

of note Larry Porter is the RB coach for UNC, so you have a proven Louisiana recruiter with La ties already

He has 10 games of head caching experience, and now he would cost a minimum of 3.5 mil a year. No way that's happening

Well, back when he was RB coach for LSU, everybody said he showed "Favoritism' and didn't like the way he used his RB's................

tom herman and luke fickle are the reason ohio state beat alabama last year and herman is the next big thing in college head coaching.

Ezekiel Elliot is the reason Ohio state beat bama

And Herman may be the next hot up and comer who turns into a great one. He also may be the next randy Edsel, turner gill or al golden. I don't see any scenario where lsu takes that risk
