If so I want a Eric Morris.
Eric Morris resume:
- Patrick Mahomes OC at TTU
- Recruited 0 star Cam Ward & developed him at Incarnate Word who was a 1st round pick.
- Recruited 3 star John Mateer to Wazzu who is now starting QB at Oklahoma.
- Recruited 0 Drew Mestemaker & is now developing him
North Texas is 7-1.
North Texas has strong offensive rankings in several key areas, including 5th in total yards per game (\(495.8\) YDS/G), 6th in passing yards per game (\(317.6\) PYDS/G), and 46th in rushing yards per game (\(178.1\) RYDS/G). They also rank highly in scoring, with their total points ranking 1st (\(315.00\) Pts) and points per game ranking 1st (\(46.1\) PPG) in the FBS.

No, we won't. The people that actually cut the checks are what ultimately will influence the decision. LSU football is not the place to start tightening the purse strings and the money people know it. We will swing for the fences, but if Landry doesn't back off and let this circus die down, it won't matter because coaches may be scared off.

actually, when you have billionaires cutting checks to pay off failed coaches, it would seem that fiscal issues do not appear to be an issue for LSU at all
C'mon Cluckster, you know the taxpayers have to pay the buyouts on these Coach Contracts..Didn't you listen to Gov Landry on the national show when he was making LSU look awesome ? /s

We’ll be looking for a guy with a chip on the shoulder looking to prove himself. Kinda the direction that Florida went in the hire of Napier.
Matt McMahon it is!!!

I'm all for bringing in a younger guy who can get creative on Saturdays.
But to suggest that fiscal restraints are reason enough.....
LMFAO......college football does not follow logical expenditure patterns. Boosters and fans will demand almost immediate gratification from their coaches and are quite willing to make ridiculous guarantees and salaries.....the only problem comes in is when you fire them......you have to pay out......and the money is not there, really, so now you pass the hat around in hopes that you can raise just enough to keep the fired coach from suing you for breach of contract.
Meanwhile, the expenditures will start to exceed raised revenues.....they are already starting to creep up .

Uhhh..: did you listen to little Landry? He said it was an issue.
Woodward knew we had donors to pay it, but Little Landry wasn’t aware

Why do y'all keep thinking Billy Napier was cheap? FL was paying him over $7 MM which was one of the Top contracts in the SEC!

Only Alabama’s Nick Saban ($9.75 million), Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher ($9 million), new LSU coach Brian Kelly ($8.6 million) and Georgia’s Kirby Smart ($7.13 million) are due to make more in the SEC next season.

Eric Morris is Air Raid 2.0
Great offensive mind and will put up crazy numbers on offense but because of the way his teams have to practice on defense, get ready to be mauled by teams that can run the ball…

No matter how many times you say it, it doesn’t sound better.

Big game hunting doesn’t always work. We need a hungry coach could be a big name or not. NIL transfer portal has changed everything. Some big name coaches are not meant for this era. GM May be more important than the coach
Agree with all this. BK was a good hire on paper but not in this era. Gotta get a younger up and comer or at least a guy who’s playing the nil/transfer game. Nobody like Dabo, Bk, urban, etc. those guys are no longer relevant in modern cfb. Coaches have to rebuild a roster every year now.
