To think that’s even possible in this day and age is moronic.

LSU brand is too big and has too much money for that to ever happen again.

I don’t know where you people come from but go back.

Too much money involved.
People who say this are stupid.

LSU athletics is a 100MM per year business.

Do you really think a 100MM company would just sit around and go into irrelevance like it was 30 years ago?

No we will keep making changes until it works because there’s too much at stake.

He doesn’t have anything to base it off of. He’s severely stupid.

7/10 losing seasons, 8 & 9 loses, 5 losing seasons in a row. That’s what the OP thinks could happen. I fricking hate these people, they’re dumb as rocks.

My question is this. What happens to Verge if he is unable to land either a big-name sitting coach or an exciting up-and-comer? What if he gets outmaneuvered by Kiffin, Lanning, or whomever the top dogs he's after and by that time all of the exciting younger coaches have been scooped up? Does he remain as permanent AD? Given that an AD's most defining hire is usually the football coach, surely LSU would try to get an experienced AD at that point, right?

Verge is not doing this on his own. There are some smart business men on that committee.Every one of them want LSUfootball to succeed.Verge knows football as does Ben Bordelon and both love the tigers.

You got a time machine baw? I wouldn’t mind traveling back to the early mid 90s. Much simpler time.

Did you not see 2020-2021? Not paying attention to what’s happening in CFB now? With a 9 game SEC schedule in a world where Vanderbilt is competing and Indiana is #2. All this talk of branding and money LSU has had exactly 1 season since 2011 with fewer than 3 losses, if they botch this hire 8-4 could become 6-6,5-7 real quick its willful ignorance to not see that
