We were told last year: " Be careful what you wish for firing Les Miles."

We ran off Les Miles to hire the worst coach in Ole Miss history? A coach that literally no one else wanted to hire.
We got what we deserved. We ran off a National champion, 2 time SEC champion and hired a failed swamp creature. What a joke.
I wish we still had Les and his 1970's Big Ten offense.

I'm no O fan, but let's be honest, O will hire a guy like Kiffen or Sark, and let them run their offense, with no distractions. Miles would hire someone like Kiffen or Sark, and frick up the whole offense. We are about to see how LSU does, with an offensive coordinator that develops qb's and is not run heavy.

I still can't wrap my head around it.
We hired Ed Oregon. My god.

We didn't hire him soon enough. If we fired him at the end of last year we wouldn't be stuck with O

As sad as it sounds O is an upgrade over Miles. Les was slowly draging down the program Smoke Laval style. We just didn't land the "sexy pick"

I don't like the hire but he will be MILES Bette than Les

If O lands Kiffin and retains Aranda then I still feel better about this staff than Les.

We woulda been able to get Jimbo last year.

Another example of LSU making a hire with emotion and ignoring more qualified and better candidates. Johnny Jones, Nolan Cain/Micah Gibbs and now O were all competing against more desirable candidates and likely wouldn't be hired at any other school in the SEC at their position. They're here and the supporters say "they love LSU", "they'll work harder than anyone else", etc. It doesn't mean they can't have success but this is another example of a program under terrible direction and leadership from the top.

They are defiantly stuck on stupid.

We'll see if Orgeron is hired, but I think this argument will be shown to be wrong.
Miles probably beats Florida on talent alone this year. He might have frustrated the shite out of us with a handicapped offense - but he wouldn't have let the inmates regularly run the asylum. Only a few games into Orgeron's tenure I think we see the early signs of incompetent leadership: dumb penalties, poor execution, stupid attention to the wrong basic public emphasis (oriented more towards a message board and radio crown than the football team).
In his five years as full-time and interim coach Orgeron has never once led his team to outperform their talent in wins and losses. This is not an accident, this is what his ceiling will be - average or worse performance for his team's talent. No SEC championships. Few or no seasons with fewer than 3 losses (or 10 or more wins).

Johnny Jones, Micah Gibbs and now Orgeron all hold positions at LSU that not 1 other SEC school would hire them at.

Let's be honest. Miles wasn't a better coach. He was a placeholder. He was just there a la paterno and Bowden.
We are in the exact same position with Orgeron. Not worse off
