for UT or no? He prolly would not come and would rather see Miles leave so he could be interviewed for HC. However he would realistically have a better shot as HC in waiting @ LSU than Texas IMO.

he made $900,000.00/yr. prior to being courted by TENN. He prolly makes over $1M right where he is now.

He just turned down more money than that to be a real HC at TN.

Why would he take less and just the DC title at LSU?

Better shot at HC at LSU than Texas? As far as HC in waiting goes.

Let me guess, you're one of these people who claims that while you're not "book smart", but you're "common sense" smart.

I guess he is just gonna wait till either Mack quits or the right job opens.

Was just wondering what others thought.

No. Mack will retire in a year or two and become AD and he will be coach of a premier program. Miles isn't going anywhere anytime soon unless UM comes calling again.

The only reason he's the "HC in waiting" is because Mack wants to retire from Texas, and will be allowed to do so. What has made you think Leslie is on that same ground right now? Why would anyone want to be a headcoach here if we were to hire a "HC in waiting" when there isn't a looming retirement reason for doing so?

I see what is being said and partially agree with it BUT with just about every one here calling for CLM's head I thought that Muschamp may have a quicker path to HC at LSU

an assistant coach rarely gets the job when the hc is fired for doing a poor job. house usually gets cleaned.

if Muschamp wants the LSU gig he would be better off staying at UT until such time miles is let go

If you fire your head coach, you aren't likely to hire one of his assistants as head coach. It's different if the coach leaves.

OK I have been given the answers and I agree I guess it does make more since to wait than to make a move based only on the money
