I love orgeron. However, why can't our fan base see that O is living on Miles program that Miles built. I'm not saying I wanted Miles to say, I'm saying what all of us have said since we thought it possible that Miles would leave. We all in unison said we wanted a head coach with an offensive mind and a proven track record. Petrino, Herman etc are excellent choices to fit the goal. The idea that some of you can't see what Herman has been able to do with no talent or resources is beyond me. However, this is not Herman or nothing. Plenty of good options.

O hasn't changed the offense at all. Let's put it another way, no other top 10 program would interview O right now. Again, I like the guy and I was rooting for him. For the job to be his, he had to change the offense and prolly beat bama. He did neither. And before someone says it yes the offense is better but not substantially changed. With all of this said nothing would make me happier than O coming back and being our coach after he learns how to run a successful program.

Bottom line, we are a top 5 program and we need to act like it when we make this hire.

The main reason O supporters are defending him to the death IS because our offense looks different and we are putting points on the board. So, which is it? Has he revamped our offense or no?

There are two ways things can happen with our program if we hire O.

1. We hire O he under performs and we become UT after they fired Fulmer.

2. We hire O and he makes this program what it is supposed to be and he becomes the most Epic Cajun on the face of the Earth.

There are two ways things can happen with our program if we hire a coach like Herman.

1. His style doesn't translate to the SEC. We lose a lot of games and we lose Coach O to another program.

2. He does well and bolts to the NFL.


The safest option of them all is to hire O based on this.

Good god. You sound like a highschool kid, and a girl at that. Hilarious who you show as proven winners when many on your list are severely underperforming this year including fisher and Herman.

No one says he is trash. I like him as a line coach and recruiter. I do not think he is the right man for the LSU job. He may get it and then we will see. I think he has learned a lot from his experiences and is a changed coach, but Herman, Fisher would be better. I have a feeling the admin already has identified someone which should have been the case given how they handled/mishandled the Miles situation. We shall see if they get it right this time.

Not many on here are fisher fans, myself included. Herman can't underperform, he has terrible program and talent to work with.

Not a huge O fan, but also won't argue against hiring him. I will say this though. Out of all the coaches you listed is there any one of them who hasn't improved over the last ten years? None of those coaches including Saban are the same coach as they werected 10 years ago, neither is O.

I'm not a huge O supporter either, but I do appreciate someone working their arse off and also putting a damn good product on the field.

You can't reason with these little college kids though, they know it all.

Well I'd rather Herman than fisher for sure...but there are red flags when you have a team capable of beating fl st and OU, then start losing to bottom tier teams.
