They got a good one if it’s actually the case.

Their new OC has been called so many times I’ll wait for the official word.

I think you can make twice as much as a big time OC versus being a head coach at a smaller school. Also, increasing willingness of big schools to hire elite coordinators as head guys bucks conventional wisdom that it is better to go cut your teeth as a HC at a small school.

Better exposure maybe?

I feel like Dan Enos did the same thing leaving Central Michigan to join Bert in Fayetteville.

No way. He will probably get a head coach offer soon enough.

Enos was on the hot seat at CMU. Brown has done a great job, and doesn't need to hitch his future on Jeremy Pruitt

Why wouldn’t he? He now has HC experience at a quality small program, and he can make probably twice as much money being the OC at Tennessee while he gets his feet wet in big boy football without throwing himself directly into the fire. The fact that he’s humble enough to make a career advancing move even though he loses his “head honcho” title makes me think he’s a pretty smart guy. Makes more sense than going directly from Troy to USC and crashing/burning because he’s never been involved with running a big time program

It doesn't make much sense to me unless he's banking on UT turning into a top-10 program in the next two or three years. He could have moved up into a mid-level P5 job from Troy with another good year or two.

Exactly. I’m not rushing to buy Jeremy Pruitt stock.
