If Venebles takes the Ou job that would be the most shocking lateral move in cfb history

Kiffin just signed a new contract increasing his pay and contract length. Have to think there are some restrictions in there, considering his flight risk.

he's screwing with OU fans

They were on last night pumping dabo as the biggest shockwave if this coaching cycle since he was apparently a done deal

OU fans- Were getting Dabo and shocking the football world. Drake, etc. How many tweets did we see about “wow I can’t believe OU is gonna pull this off”

OU fans today- BV is who we wanted all along and already a much better coach than LR

And there's still a 50% chance it's Lanning

I guess it's too early for some to pick up on sarcasm.

I think venables is a good change of pace for OU.

But not for $10m a year. That's ludicrous

Funny all the OU people on Twitter.

This is a grand slam hire
Huge upgrade over Riley
He has 2 titles he single-handedly won

Retracted. They have a write up prepared for each candidate and Lanning’s was published by mistake.

Either that, or they saw UGA’s D performance last night and jerked their offer back

ESPN was reporting this as a strong rumor this morning.

That really seems like a meh hire. I get he has OU ties and OU has a history of taking former assistants and bringing them in for their first HCing jobs…but still, I feel like they could do better.

The only way Kiffin has a chance at Miami is if Cristobal turns them down

There’s no way Miami can get close to Oregon when it comes to money (thanks to Nike) if they want to keep Cristobal. The way they are recruiting, I imagine they will despite those two haymakers from Utah this year.

It’s also possible the Miami job doesn’t open up this year if they know they can’t get him.
