Saw it on a few other sites as well but this was the only one that would open on my work computer.

Tennessee fired head coach Butch Jones on Sunday after dropping to 4-6 (0-6 in the conference) with Saturday's 50-17 blowout loss to Missouri. Rodgers played for Tennessee as a four-year letterman from 1988-91, helping the Volunteers to an SEC Championship in his each of his last two collegiate seasons.
It hasn't been determined yet whether Rodgers will interview for the job.

Talk about a fan base imploding. I think they go nuts if the hire is anything less than an established well known coach. A mid-major HC or coordinator and they will take torches and pitchforks to Currie's office.

There’s no way this can happen. Tennessee, like Nebraska, needs a splash hire — not some no-name coordinator. If this happens, it just goes to show truly how far the Vols have fallen.

Frost is not a splash hire.
He looks promising and may work out great, but the flavor of the week mid major coach is not a splash.
