You guys really discounted what that old coot does behind the scenes. It’s not his lower than before net worth, rather it’s him being 88 and wanting to preserve OSU versus a high net worth.

Not really sure what T Boone has to do with any of this. The Haslams and Charlie Ergen could buy T Boone 20x over.

When you are talking about paying a guy $8MM a year, there really is no difference in whether your money guy is worth $500MM or $13B. Everyone is pretty much on the same footing. It boils down to who is willing to spend.

Someday, the message board world will realize that money doesn’t always buy you results and that every coach isn’t out there chasing it as hard as you think.
It was clear to me that gundy was only talking to UT to get a raise. Maybe it works but maybe it doesnt. At the end of the day UT was wrong for fighting the Schiano hire. Let’s be honest....outside of Mullen...who were the REALISTIC better options?

Just how old do you think he is? The campus has been done since around the time he graduated in the 50s. The only major expansion since I believe is north of the stadium where they’re putting all the athletic fields and stuff.
