Bruce Feldman @BruceFeldmanCFB I'm told #USC AD Lynn Swann had been telling Clay Helton for awhile that he was going to back him and that he believed USC needed stability, and Swann honored his word on all this against a ton of pressure.

LMFAO

LSU isn't the only program who doesn't giv a frick about winning I guess.

Terrible. frick all this moral victory shite. frick all this "next year" shite.

"We have a good foundation returning next year." Lmao. What happens when that foundation goes 7-5? His buyout must be massive.

Pretty wild considering they are supposed to be finished with a $300M renovation of the coliseum by next season and they just had their lowest attendance vs Notre Dame since 1960

quote:

Reign of Troy @ReignofTroy · 14h
Tonight's attendance for #USC vs. Notre Dame is 59,821.

Smallest crowd for the rivalry at the Coliseum since rain limited the attendance in 1960 to 28,297.

We'll see if he's Lynn's man after Chip roasts them by 30 next year.

This does kinda sound familiar.

It depends on how long Helton sticks around. He can continue to do some more damage, but a good coach can turn around USC quickly with that talent level.

Lynn Swann is giving Joe Alleva one hell of a run for worst AD in the country.

Incredible effort and determination Lynn.

This is strictly by default. SC simply cannot afford his buyout, plus a new coach's salary. They have some serious shite they're dealing with right now. Football is on the back burner.

Wow I thought he needed 8 wins to keep his job coming into this season. He underachieved big time with Darnold. That program is in iffy shape.

Yep. They are just delaying the inevitable. Will probably be fired next year during the season.
