ESPN Insider content ( therefore no link) has Bruce Feldman suggesting Ohio native Urban Meyer sooner or later succeeding Jim Tressel as Buckeye head coach.

Which is not news at all but rather unfounded speculation about a job that is not even open yet. But until Meyer gets another job this will linger I think.

Everybody is going to imagine Urban Meyers as the next coach at their university. OSU, Notre Dame, and Penn State are the only schools I think he will ever consider coaching.

Dan Mullens laughs at that misspelling.

That is the correct spelling, at least according to the clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I guess that will become a year in year out issue like Miles to Michigan??

The rumors will fly, but personally I believe Meyer is done coaching. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see him coming back for at least 3 years. Gruden has got a pretty cushy job at ESPN right now and I see Urban doing something similar.

He's said that Notre Dame is his dream job. I think he'll be back into coaching in about 5 years, and could be at any elite program depending on the program's circumstances.

I'd heard he has been interested in OSU for years...as I said who knows.

These coaches are so much like recruits...

He was asked if Urban came back, what would be the possibilities. He said possibly OSU, but mentioned ND, Texas, even UGA also. It was basically just a fluff article/answer, and shouldn't be looked at seriously.

The truth is that Miles and Urban want to end up in a never ending ragnarok where they coach Michigan and Ohio State in an eternal battle that goes on for OT after OT after OT...

I would not be surprised at all for him to pop up at a small school with little to no pressure where he can coach without all the expectations. I think his health is more serious than people are talking about and this way he could still be involved in football.

If his health is as serious as some people are saying, I don't expect to see him at an elite level football program again.
