If he accepts in the next 2 weeks, does he coach their bowl game?
Posted on 11/21/11 at 4:03 pm to 4LSU2
No way, but it would be good for recruiting if this deal gets done right after the Michigan game.

I dont see him flipping any of the Ohio kids committed to Michigan

Not coach but at leasr consult. CUM is a flake. A genius but a flake just the same. Nothing good will come of this.

I agree 100%. However, you better watch your back talking about OSU on here. Some posters think they should be #2 in the BCS right now and that OSU will be on top again next year and every year thereafter.

Meyer, whose resignation from Florida a year ago was fueled in part by health and family concerns, still has those concerns, he told the Sun. But in the past year, he's learned that a balance between the demands of coaching and home life can be found.

So whats the reason he quit?
1.) Banging a cheerleader?
2.) Couldn't handle life without Tebow?
3.) Had a falling out with the Administration?
4.) None of the Above
Urban saw that the cupboard was bare at the QB spot after Tebow left and the losses were going to start to mount.

Good luck with that. You're getting the 2010 version of Meyer. The Meyer we had for 5 years was insanely good but he pretty much abandoned everything except UF football.
To be successful like he was, he'll have to do that again. But he won't, so... 2010 UF = OSU 2012 and beyond.
I wouldn't be mad if he went to OSU. He won us two crystal balls. I'd feel WAY sorry for his family and know that the excuse he used to leave was bunk.

He has the name cache to hire a top shelf staff, and with his health condition, he will need to do just that to be successful. It seems too soon for him to get back into coaching. If he accepts, I think he'll have a good run, but not longer that 4-5 years, before he steps down again.

Would be a great hire for Ohio State.
eta: assuming he stays for more than 3 years.

what legitimate tOSU poster has said this??? If you talk to most fans this is the worst team since the '99 team, and isn't even worthy of a shitty bowl game.
I think this is the job Urban has wanted all along. He's an Ohio native, started out at OSU and used UF as stepping stone.

Nobody said that. That dude makes Kige look competent in all facets of life.

Nope.
I'm sure there will be a few loose nuts on messaging boards, but for the most part, none of us really care one way or the other. It was pretty clear after last season that for whatever reason, he wasn't into being the coach here anymore.

It is 10X harder in the SEC. Maybe he couldnt take the pressure. Ohio State is the easy out.
You vastly underestimate the pressure to win at Ohio State.

you gotta be out of your fricking mind if you think Ohio State is an easy out.

He will take the job if Ohio State offers and I think they will. Urban is dead to the Florida fans similar to Saban with LSU.
