Urban Cannot Succeed at ND

IMHO, because it will take him years, if ever, to recruit the type of players he needs to run his offense. That's why he turned ND away before, and why he'll do it again. Urban has no personality that can tolerate being anything close to a loser. He is one intense Mo-Fo and cannot take on a challenge. Saban, on the other hand, would relish the chance, along with the many tens of millions that ND would pay him.

I don't understand why meyer's name is coming up with ND? Thats like IMO going from LSU to Tulane.
ETA: I think the Penn St. opening would be something to look out with Saban.

ND has a higher academic standard... any sec coach will be dumb to give up the kind of range they have for the limited selection

He also knows he's raised the expectations (or resurrected them) in Bama and has no room to drop off in performance. That being said, having a new, fresh 5 year run in a new environment, one that can pay him much more than he currently makes, ought to be enough to finish off his career with more enough coin in his pocket.

He's catholic and he's already said it's his dream job.
No one gets more media exposure than ND, and it is the top football program in the nation. He's shown he can win at UF, and Tebow is gone. What else does he have to show? Dude doesn't seem like he's going to coach into his 80s and he's never going to the NFL. Nothing bigger than ND

Urban would be smart to leave now if he ever does. Tebow will be gone. Sure, they'll still be good, but they won't be at the same level they are now at least for a little while. Don't taint your legacy with a few average seasons. Leave now, try to rebuild Notre Dame, and be remembered at Florida for nothing else but 3 national titles in your 5 seasons there.

i'm not arguing that..
what i'm saying is that they can still get good recruits.. check out their recruting ranks the past 5 years or so
i think rivals has them at # 11 right now

They play no one. All they have to do is schedule 8 jokers and play USC and Michigan every year. This definitely makes up for high academic standards.

Why would UM leave UF? no reason...he's got FLA recruits...he does a decent job recruiting other parts of the country. He has a legitimate shot at 3 NCs in 5 years....with others possible....He has a great staff.....all to go to ND? No way he leaves unless there are other personal reasons...boss, wife hates summer, Southbend sux...been there in NOV.....and the College FB HOF is leaving.....
