Feldman taking a shot at LSU over his bff Ed is pretty disappointing

It amazes me that James Franklin's name keeps coming up with all these openings. PSU has vastly underachieved the past few years. He wouldn't last long in the SEC.

Average to a little above average at best; you just partial to that fricker cause you live up in Iowa and he's coaching Iowa State.

I'd say Franklin and Campbell are about equal in terms of mediocre.

I like Campbell but if they hired Campbell over Aranda at this point it would really be confusing
I'd be happy with either, but why would Campbell over Aranda be so confusing? I think they're at least even.
Aranda had a really good season at Baylor but he was handed a good team by Rhule. Campbell was handed a pile of shite at ISU and he's turned that into the best 5 year stretch of that program's history. No one ever explains why they dislike Campbell so much.

Except that Franklin is at a top 10 job and Campbell a bottom 10

There's 50 choices better than that dude
Name them then.
Campbell would be a huge get, no matter what this clown show of a board says. He has turned down bigger jobs before, including in the NFL. If he's truly considering LSU as strongly as reported, that means he sees this as a destination job for himself and his family.
And compared to Riley, he knows both sides of the ball, has a history of program building, and is less likely to jump to the NFL down the road, if he has success.

You’d think I’d more partial to Farentz because I personally know his family.. and he’s beat Campbell like every time.
I like Campbell because he is a great coach. How many times does a guy need to win coach of the year(in his 30s) for you to respect him?

will lmao if uf gets napier and LSU gets frickin franklin.
riley stays at ou
aranda goes to usc
napier goes to uf
LSU picks franklin over campbell.

Says LSU would fire Riley if he missed the playoffs three years in a row, and he has no interest in making the move.
If Riley goes 8-4 or worse for 3 straight years he will be feeling pretty much equal heat whether he's at OU or LSU

Confirms Riley absolutely isn’t leaving Oklahoma for LSU. Says LSU would fire Riley if he missed the playoffs three years in a row, and he has no interest in making the move.
This is pure conjecture on Feldman's part in defense of his buddy, Ed Orgeron. LSU kept Les Miles for almost 11.5 years. During that time Les made two BCSNC games. It was only after 4.5 seasons following the 2011 game that LSU finally came to the conclusion Les refused to adapt as needed to make LSU a championship contender once more.
For his part Orgeron did not get fired just 1.5 years after winning the NC because LSU's expectations are too high. He got fired because he followed up the NC by dragging the program down to a level it had not been in 20 years...with no end in sight. LSU gave him a mulligan after 2020 and he STILL fricked it up.
I've never been on the train that LSU was going to lure Riley away from OU. But it sure as hell isn't because LSU "unfairly" fired O so soon and that they would do the same to the next HC. The rest of the coaching world knows Orgeron was simply along for the ride in 2019 and that the post 2019 collapse was SOLELY a result of O fully implementing his approach (after Aranda left).

Seriously OU wanted Stoops out because he made the title game almost every year and lost. They're a top 3 all time blue blood. Their fans are like Bama. What the frick is he talking about?
Posted on 11/22/21 at 3:55 pm to Lakebound
I think Les missed the playoffs more than a few times.
Les was fired because he was stubborn. The league was changing because of guys like Lincoln Riley and he refused to change with it.
Les was dinosaur. He dug his own grave. It wasn’t all about the record.
