A couple hours ago, 247’s Marcello said the only target is Blake Baker, knows of no one else Kelly would go after if Blake says no. Stated LSU will know in 2 or 3 days if Blake is interested. Stated numerous reasons why this will be hard for Blake to turn down.

Why would it take 2/3 days to know if he’s interested? Maybe 2/3 days for him to think about it and accept the contract

You do realize this isn't Orgeron running the program anymore right? It's not "Da Joe Brady offense" or nothing. Kelly isn't going to not have a plan.

Blake Baker deal sounds a lot like the Lincoln Riley done-deal stuff. I suspect LSU will get a good DC but just not who everyone thinks. Its both the Kelly and Woodward way.

I’m not certain of anything whether this is accurate or not being leaked, especially after the Kelly hire. But it still makes one interested when something’s leak like this. Mainly because it seems like a logical hire.
But I also like Michigan’s DC, he has ties with Kelly, and that Michigan defense looked impressive. I’m not predicting that it’s Blake, just posting what I hear.

To be fair, this is coming from a national guy that reports strictly on the coaching carousel and contracts. I’m guessing he has sources with agents and AD’s around the country.
Still, I have a hard time believing that any accurate information is being leaked to the media.

Anyone that thinks that Kelly has only reached out to one person, even if it was his dream hire, is out of their minds. There’s a zero % chance that Kelly termed our entire defensive staff without already having a pulse on multiple different options.
