If you're trying to troll me, you're going to have to come with stronger shite than that.

Southern Miss could get up to around a million.
Will they pay Hudspeth that much? I'm sure they didn't plan to but with all of the other coaching changes going on they might just be scared enough.

It would be pretty dumb/act of panic to increase a guy's salary by $1.7 million.

My bad man. Was not trolling you. Just funny stuff. Seeing you guys be okay with him leaving to USM or Ole Miss but not Tulane. You guys are also giving up pretty easy that he is gonna bail after one season. You really think he bails after one year?

Southern Miss and Ole Miss are better jobs than the UL job right now. That's why I think he'd go. The Tulane job is a mess right now, they're obviously trying to sort it all out but none of us think Tulane is a better job.. that's why we'd be pissed if he went to Tulane.
Best case is that he stays, obviously, but second best case is that he goes to Ole Miss. Then the Cajuns' job becomes a stepping stone for young coaches trying to get premier head coaching jobs. That way we can hire another young, hungry head coach, preferably a guy like Garrick McGee.

Hud has pulled his name from consideration according to the twitterz.

Mark Hudspeth has pulled his name out of consideration for the Ole Miss job, reports David Johnson of rebsportsradio.com. Hudspeth alluded to Johnson that the Search Committee lead him to believe that his ties to MSU were apparently going to be too much for Ole Miss. ...apparently Alabama didn't feel this way when they hired a certain former LSU coach.

So am I reading this right? Ole Miss, who will likely not be able to get their hands on a big time coach, will pass up on an interested Hudspeth...an up and coming coach who pretty much turned a dump into a respectable non bcs team in one year, and a coach who knows Mississippi like the back of his hand because of his former ties to
MSU???
Poor ole miss. There is no hope for those poor bastards.

This could be coach speak but if it's true then Ole Miss just doesn't like him and they used the Miss St connection as an excuse. There's no way they are that stupid.
