I thought they might give him a chance to save himself by winning the USC game, but that ASU loss was really bad.

If true, this is a job I believe Kiffin would take. If UCLA makes the financial commitment to win I think Kiffin would take it.

And be subjected to Friday night games in New Jersey? At the 2nd rate school in the city? No, his aim is higher than that.

Kidding wouldn’t go to UCLA. You have no chance of winning there in the current NIL environment. UCLA couldn’t care less about football. Have you seen their attendance

UCLA is not a good job in the NIL era other than for high profile skill position players.

It's got the same NIL problems USC has turned up by 100

That would be a downward move, but the point of your post was just to tweak the Ole Miss crowd.

Kelly seemed like he was rockin' while at Oregon and he's been crashing ever since he left.

No, I don’t give a shite about Ole Miss fans. If UCLA can get the money together and make the NIL financial commitment I think Kiffin would take that job.

1. The admin is scarred by the sanctions and Varsity Blues. They wont allow any upfront NIL commitments to high school players even though high school NIL is legal in California. This is a big reason why you don't see USC recruiting that well, but able to pull big players in the portal.

2. Disjointed collectives. They have 3 different collectives all trying to do the same thing and butting heads.

3. The admin has asked donors to prioritized university and department donations over NIL, so there's not actually as much money as you would think. Also, while USC has more ultra wealthy alums than just about anywhere, a tiny percentage of these care about football and they definitely aren't going to go buy a left tackle or defensive end.

4. USC's NIL is fantastic if you are Caleb or Jordan Addison because USC has reach into media and brand space that nobody else does.

UCLA has all the same issue, but highly magnified.

Wonder if Brian is going to be distracted this weekend given that his brother is out of a job.

How did Kelly fall so far and so fast?

Oregon was rolling with him, has some success in the NFL and then it just hasn’t been the same for him since Philadelphia.

If Lane leaves, Chip would be a major upgrade.

Seriously doubt this.

UCLA is not a good job. Now they’ll have to do cross country travel in the big ten. I’d stay at ole miss.

Stupid move by UCLA. Give him another year. With coaching fires already getting ramped up, that will drive up prices and negotiations. They are idiots if they fire him and Lane would be stupid to leave Ole Miss for the dumpster fire in LA, oh and giving 15% of his income to the state.
