We should just bring back Buddy Teevens.

He was actually turning around Wazzu. It would be easier to win in CUSA than the Pac 12

Could have fooled me. He's won 9 of his last 50 games I'll pass on that
In all honesty, we'll probably get someone worse.

you should have seen WSU's talent level when he took over. and he's recruiting to BFE

but he was a coach in washington prior to taking the WSU job, so he had a presence there. he'd be starting over at tulane

This Tulane coaching search seems to get worse each week. It was on such a high note just a couple of weeks ago when Rich Rod was rumored to be coming back to NOLA. Now, people seem to be expecting to find a turd in a punchbowl.

I dont see him working out at Tulane. I'm hoping they'll stay away from him and I'm pretty sure they will.

I admit I know nothing about his situation at WSU, but really 9-40? That's worse than Bob Toledo.
How bad were they before Wulff? I see their records were better the few years before he took over.

Several things hurt Wulff at WSU.

As has been said, it's in BFE, they use to get by oversigning like crazy (like Houston Nutt 39 in a year crazy) but you can't do that anymore, plus they were facing scholarship reductions due to their poor APR scores. Their starting QB was out a lot of the year as well. With him they very well could have been 6-6 and bowling.

9-40 but trending upward. I don't think he'd be a great hire, but I think you could do worse. I think he was good at EWU before he got the Wazzu job, so he's had success somewhere.

Honestly, the only retread I would look at if I were Tulane would be Dennis Erickson.
