"Tennessee: FootballScoop has learned that Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun has called a 5:50 pm team meeting in Colorado Springs. We wonder why?"

Going from coaching at Air Force to Tenn is like going from coaching a church league team to coaching a prison team...
I wonder how the white boy option will work in the SEC? Look out...here comes MOTOR!

i doubt he runs the option at Tenn. Comes from the Shannahan Broncos school, having worked for Denver and than the OC under Kubiak with the TExans.

He actually spent time in the NFL and is quite adept at running a pro style offense.

Yes, I am aware. It was a joke, in case you missed it.

This rumor seems to be growing legs..
First reaction on the UT board is NO!
But more reasonable people are looking at his resume' and seeing he is a pretty good coach.
they want the big name, but it's not looking likely..
Lovie Smith is being mentioned too tifwiw

Well, since he ended second in the running behind Kiffin on the last search(one year ago), I wouldn't think this would need to "grow legs." I would think he started way up their list.

I actually think its a decent hire, if true. Laugh at me but that's my thoughts.

Looks like a good coach that will need to hire a staff of recruiters in order to quiet the UTe faithful.
ETA: Hope he does not come after Frank Wilson.

Has any website with "scoop.com" in it's name ever really been right?

Sounds like Kifftard, but Kifftard is a ginormous tool.

Wilson isn't going anywhere. He's home.
