Well, if you really look at it, you have 6 hrs of re-aired games, 3hrs of replayed live programing, 3hrs of the Herd and 1hr of replayed programming from earlier in the year. They are really only producing about 11hrs of original "coverage".

re: 14th team for the east

I think it will be Maryland or VT, purely for the Virginia/ DC market share. If we get aTm that will give us Texas and the only way to expand the market on the east will be up the coast.
People keep giving these "natural fit" possibilities, but all of this is about more money. The only way to increase revenue will be to expand into "new" markets.

Did no one look close enough to see that it is a photoshop job? The NCAA outlawed any color other than green for any school that did not already have different colors.

No... the GMAC bowl is in Mobile and it is now the GoDaddy.com bowl
It's not semantics. Even in neutral site games there is a home and visiting team declared. In the NC game we were the visitor(it was an away game) in the O game we are the home team(it will be a home game).

As opposed to 2010, when we played a season opener against a ranked (then) opponent at a neutral site, then played 7 games at Tiger Stadium.

That game was an Away game... We were the visitor.
He really did. I went to the game yesterday. He was hitting from everywhere. But, everyone was on fire the first half. It was just who wanted it this time. Their perimeter defense was aweful and was even worse when they went to zone. Our post play has to get better though especially on the defensive end. We were getting abused down low with some of the smaller post players we'll see. We looked very hesitant on the offensive end in the post. White acted like he wanted to drive past smaller defenders instead of backing them in and going strong to the basket.
What no one is talking about is that it is in neither the NCAA's nor the SEC's best intrest to decide quickly on this matter. With all the media buzz surrounding this they are looking at possibly all time highs in ratings which equals BIG MONEY. Once the season is over and all the money is tallied they will make a decision and everyone will be over being pissed that it took so long by the time the next season rolls around. By then they will have picked a new media darling to drool all over.

re: Vacating vs forfeiting?

Posted by MobTownForeverLSU on 11/10/10 at 10:32 am
Vacating the win just means that the team takes the win out of their record books. For the team vacating the win it is like it never happened. But, for the team that lost it is still a loss. A forfeit is as the game didn't take place but, the forfeiting team gets a loss and the other gets a win.

I'm pretty sure it has do do with the fact that it was an item given to him by the university because he is an athlete. If it was his stereo he payed for and sold it a fair market value i don't think this would be an issue.
I was just about to post that. USA is on the fast track to FBS. They will be alot stronger than people are thinking. They are building a good program and have gotten transfers from multiple FBS schools already. They NC State in 2012 have a 6-8 year contract to play Navy already set up and have a 2 and 1 set up with MSU. they will have had many "tests" before this game rolls around. This game has been in the works for a while. USA had originally asked Auburn for a pay game and AU refused. AU came back and tried to get back in, but the LSU game was the winner.
They have every game at espnradio.com there is an extra tab for them. The broadcast starts at kick-off.
Where are ya'll watching the draft. I can't anywhere that has up to date listings.

re: Troy Calhoun to Tennessee?

Well, since he ended second in the running behind Kiffin on the last search(one year ago), I wouldn't think this would need to "grow legs." I would think he started way up their list.

re: Team SEC Mentality

Posted by MobTownForeverLSU on 12/23/09 at 2:58 pm
The SEC schools feel almost like a brotherhood. We have our sibling rivalrys, but we stand behind our brothers when they're in a fight with someone outside the family. Go ahead start with the "everyone from the south is related and we're all doing our sisters" crap. Everyone from the south knows what I mean.

I'm pretty sure he would have been 96 today. That just my LSU math though. Not of your superior Bama knowledge... but the way I calculate it 1913 to 2009 is 96 years.
