Auburn coaching list expands, now believed to include TCU coach Gary Patterson.

Not a bad choice.

I think he does a good job of explaining the reasoning, but he omitted that Saban will likely play in three BCSNCGs in four years. Clearly their facilities and dedication to winning would make them number one without the other issues that he discussed.

The Dash initially had this as No. 2 behind Arkansas until consulting with some college football insiders, who cited facilities, larger stadium, superior tradition and softer side of the conference as factors in the Volunteers' favor.

So really really Arkansas is #1 but :peerpressure:

Auburn (4). This should be the top job on the list in terms of absolute institutional commitment to football, recruiting area and fanatical following. But there's the ongoing NCAA investigation, and questions about whether heavy-handed booster involvement is still an issue for whoever is the next coach. Dysfunction is the Auburn norm – sometimes it's a workable dysfunction, but sometimes it's not. Right now, this job has hazard lights flashing all around it.

sounds bout right

This pisses off arky and UT fans. You can change the people running the program (see bama), but you can't change recruiting area, money, etc.

K.

We have more money than you, no contest there, and it isn't like we are not close to rich recruiting grounds.
