Tell me something I don't already know.

You aren't anywhere near Florida, GA, or Alabama. Fayetteville's closest big prospect pool is Dallas and it's 5 + hours away. Memphis is 5 hours away if you want to count that.
We have more money than you, no contest there, and it isn't like we are not close to rich recruiting grounds.

He's actually dead on in his comments. Not sure about the spot on the list though.

Auburn and NC State should switch and then his list is spot on!

how the frick is NC State a better job than cal?
Cal spends nothing on their athletic program, the facilities are crap, and the expectations are high. I would not be surprised to see Cal to go after Tim DeRuyter, it's better than Colorado.
With all the "Alabama-like" talk from NC State, maybe they know something we don't, like what's going down after Maryland's buyout is announced. That would definitely increase the value of that job.
So:
1. Tennessee - Mike Gundy should be #1, not Gruden
2. Arkansas - Going after Charlie Strong
3. NC State - Sonny Dikes? Would tear the ACC a new one IMO.
4. Auburn - Bobby Petrino
5. Cal - Tim DeRuyter

I would agree that Tenn is the best job, simply because they are the big dog in their state and they look poised to win soon..Auburn has as much potential but the NCAA thing will be used against them in recruiting even if it turns out to be nothing..Arky has proven it can win in the SEC but the lack of in state recruits is always an issue there..I have heard several reports on NCState and how they are a "sleeping giant" because of their commitment and facilities but it is yet to be proven..I think the Cal job is crap..Its a tough place to recruit and the standards are high..

Facilities, huge media market, east coast, passionate fan base, and best football program in one of the most populated states in the country
Pretty obvious stuff here

Forde is a puss that looks at who you have to compete against more than your resources. In his eyes Auburn can never top Bama and thus is inferior to other jobs.
He ripped A&M last year and said we were far down on the job list.
While in reality almost every open job wanted Sumlin and he waited for us while we fished for a big name. Ultimately he took half of what ASU offered him to coach at A&M in the SEC.
In summation: Pat Forde = pussy

Yeah, well don't let facts get in the way of your analysis:
Cal just spent $321 million on stadium upgrades and a new athletic center:

2010 average attendance:
Cal: 57,873 (7 games, 405,112 total)
NC State: 56,877 (6 games, 341,261 total)
I didn't use 2011 figures because Cal played in AT&T Park because of stadium renovation.
Neilsen TV market estimates:
Bay Area: 2,502,030 TV homes
Raleigh: 1,150,350 TV homes
Head coach salary:
Cal: $2.6 million (Next coach could be higher)
NC State: $1.9 million
Number of ex-players in the NFL currently (according to ESPN):
Cal: 32 (including Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch, DeSean Jackson, Tony Gonzalez, Nnamdi Asomugha)
NC State: 18 (biggest name I can see is Philip Rivers)
Number of North Carolina players on Cal's roster: 5 (including Keenan Allen)
Number of California players on NC State's roster: 3 (two transfers and a long snapper)
Record since 2002:
Cal: 82-57
NC State: 74-63
Number of 10+ win seasons since 2002:
Cal: 2
NC State: 1
Number of winning seasons since 2002:
Cal: 9
NC State: 6
Bowl record since 2002:
Cal: 5-3
NC State: 5-1

I agree with most of that, but you should mention Mario Williams as an NC State alum.

If Miles leaves for Arky, where does LSU go on the list?

The list turns into this.. the gap would be so large it would be laughable.
1) LSU
...
...
...
...
2) who the frick cares?

All irrelevant considering the numbers are so close to each other.
You also didn't mention that Cal is currently behind USC, UCLA, and Stanford in college football. They also compete with professional sports. Although NC State competes with nearby NC schools in athletics, they are in front of everyone else in college football.
