No longer wanted by BK, which he has the right to hire his own staff. Rantards will rant and melt though just as soon as Moffit goes elsewhere. It could be Bama or A&M since he worked with both coaches during their stint at LSU.

Moffitt and Jimbo hate each other.

I’d love for him to go to bama and continue the trail of torn ACL’s

Because he's being blamed for out of shape players and injuries when he's not at fault. Players have to buy into and attend their workouts and strengthening program designed by Moffit. It's up to the coaches to see that players adhere to it or get benched/told to move on elsewhere. The HC sets the tone. It was O the players coach that let them become SOFT. He did away with the Big Cat drill.

Funny how Damone Clark isnt soft. Moffit said hes the best LB to ever come through LSU. A player's lack of work ethic isn't on Moffit

Bama took a more modernized approach to S&C once his protégé Scott Cochran took an on field job with UGA.

I don't see them going backwards...

Does he really want to move after being in the same place for 21 years?

Maybe he just retires and works at CHS or traction

Grounds for immediate dismissal right there.

Only bad leaders blame their followers when the results are poor.

Not saying Moffit should be fired or won’t get another job and do well.

But, LSU had a spectacular rash of injuries this year. The number one determiner of injury is pure dumb luck or chance. Wrong step, wrong hit, wrong fall, it’s just fate and out of any mortal’s control.

The only way to decrease the number of injuries Lady Luck is handing out is strength and conditioning. Maybe Moffit did a great job and without him 2021 would have been worse. But if I’m a new coach coming into a program that was ravished by injuries like we were, I’m trying my luck with a new coach.

Meanwhile, thanks coach Moffit for your past service to LSU. Good luck in all future endeavors unless to are across the field from LSU.

It’s amazing to me after the last two years we have had, how hard people are clinging to the guys in the building for it.

Simply scared of the unknown.

Bama has two S & C coaches. I could see Saban adding a 3rd easily.

Bottom line for me is that I think we need new blood. Time creates complacency

Would be happy for him if he did. He may not be right for LSU anymore but I’ve got nothing but respect for him. Hope he gets to do whatever he wants to do.

I'm guessing Miami will take a big run at him. He was there from 1998-2000 and they're at least talking the talk even if I doubt they'll walk the walk.

A S & C coach can lead you to the gym door but he cant hold the hand of every player, or show up and do the routines for you everyday of the off season. Players have a respondibility to do that. Look at a Damone Clark and a Kardell Thomas. Which player do you think took his off season conditioning more seriously and put in the hardwork?
