I don't believe that at all. FootballScoop will post anything they receive as being "sources said...". They don't vet anything they receive; they just repost it.

Football scoop’s sources are on the agent end. So take all reports from them with a grain of salt. Agents pump out the narrative they want out there.

Yes, his last three years as a college OC his offenses have ranked #7, #3, and #2 in the country in scoring. His last year as head coach at USM he built them up to #13 in scoring when they were #112 the year before he arrived. Winston threw for 5000 yards under his tutelage at Tampa Bay. He has 4 years of experience as an NFL OC and 3 as a college head coach. Oklahoma St passed for 387 yards per game and 337 yards per game under him. He does not suck. Resumes don’t come much better than that. It’s too bad he doesn’t feel frustrated by Kirby Smart’s meddling. He would have been an awesome hire.

Okay, enlighten us on your first hand experience working with him as an OC. Just saying he sucks doesn’t tell us anything. His actual achievements tell a much different story. Your take looks ignorant without some context to support it and explain how his offenses have been so successful in spite of him.

I love how the article says they discussed the OC position and the headline says that Monken turned down the job.

I know someone who emailed them a test rumor, and they ran with it and posted on their website. No vetting at all. Nothing. Just an immediate repost.
