I really wonder that all the haters in the LSU fan base do during the off season, between the end of baseball & the start of football? Hating/negativity seems to be all there is to your lives. Coach O, for better or worse, is the HC now. Give him some time. He falls flat, he falls flat. But give him the opportunity first.

Hence my prediction of slightly under 50%, we actually agree. Who is melting besides you?
If your opinion is that reasonable, then I'm not referring to you. Just the "sky is falling" with 0 logic behind it. And I got over what little melting I did within an hour of the ESPN alert that woke me up Saturday morning. It is what it is now. Time to move on from pointless bullshite.
There are legit concerns with hiring O, including our absolute dependence on great coordinators and staff. However, based on what they are paying Aranda and have paid for OCs in th past, I don't think whether or not we will pay in this case is a big concern.

My concern is that at one point or another , all the insiders information matched pointed in the same direction. At times they drifted apart, then would start merging again.
The important question is why was information allowed to leak out after last year.

Because we're dealing with humans. Leaks happen. You cannot prevent humans from talking to each other. All you can do is discourage it, threaten consequences, and even misinform to test for leaks. But you can't prevent it.

Lets face it, we don't have a clue who we are getting.
Kiffin was in the binder, probably hasn't been contacted to gauge interest. No different than Herman or Fisher.
shite, he probably has Saban as back up plan for DC incase Aranda leaves, if we are just throwing shite around..why not.

Well smartass to be fair there was a verbal agreement with Herman. Technically Random was right.

One thing to know, is Kiffin will not be at Bama next year. That leaves two options, He is the head coach at another university or he jumps ship to LSU. All of this will be decided and made known after the SEC Champ game.

Upon arriving at Ole Miss , Orgeron attempted to bring USC's passing game coordinator, Lane Kiffin, with him as the new offensive coordinator, but Kiffin opted to stay with the Trojans.[10]
Entering the 2005 season, Orgeron had hoped to bring a USC-style offense to the Southeastern Conference (SEC), but found limited success. The University of Mississippi's offense finished the season ranked 111th out of 117 Division I-A schools, in total offense; 115th in scoring; and, 116th in rushing. Orgeron's defensive experience, along with returning linebacker Patrick Willis, helped the Rebel defense in 2005, but as a result of the offensive woes, the 2005 team struggled and finished the season with a record of three wins and eight losses—the Rebels' worst record since 1987.

Two things:
1. Did Herman know about this verbal agreement?
2. Verbal agreements don't mean shite when coaching contracts are concerned.
I see no reason Kiffin would ever leave the Alabama talent pool for anything less than a HC job.
Same way I saw no reason Jimbo would ever opt out of Florida St. to be abused by the SECW. Use LSU maybe, come to LSU never.
